Weekly Grifball News? |

Week 1
With sundays nights games coming to a close, week 1 of winter league comes to a close. Although not many games were played due to the holidays, we have compensated this with an extra make up week at the end of the season.
Week 1 News
This week in the pro league, 6 teams featured in the weekly top 10 teams poll on grifbi.com came out with strong wins. These teams including <3(1), Teenage Mutant Ninja Scettles(2), Power Outage(3), Grunts of Fury(6), That's What She Said(8), and Zero Logic(10). AVATAD(7) was the only team on the top 10 to come out with a loss in their game vs Harmful if Swallowed.
Games to look for week 2 are I'd Hit That vs That's What She Said, Grunts of Fury vs Power Outage, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Scettles vs The Rebels. These games to look for will feature some key player match ups. Will the newly revamped TWSS be able to pull an upset over favored I'd Hit That? Or will the tanking of IHT be too much. In the Grunts vs PO game, will the Grunts be able to rebound from last seasons early playoff loss to PO or will PO continue their season undefeated. And finally will TMNS's new pick up of a top runner hurt their tanking too much to beat the tank heavy line up of The Rebels, or can The Rebels get past the superb defense of TMNS.
Weekly Team Awards
Biggest Upset- Harmful If Swallowed over AVATAD (6-3)
Most Dominating Victory- Power Outage over Ok, Alright... (9-0)
Closest Game- Zero Logic over Deadly If Eaten (5-4)
Shortest Game- TMNS over Red Ray (9:54)
Longest Game- Harmful If Swallowed over AVATAD (28:06)
For more weekly stats, check out MenZ's Weekly Stat Roundup.
This will become a weekly article summing up the week, next week look for a more in depth analysis of week 2 results, team awards, and the hot players of the season. As well as top free agents to look for and top teams in need of a player. Don't forget to check (www.Grifballhub.com) for all things grifball.

New maps for WL10
Sorry for leaving this so late, but Avatar is three fucking hours long. The maps and gametypes for this season (which started a couple hours ago) are below.
Game Variants:
AGLA : Grifball
GB Network Test
Adv. Host Check
Regular Courts:
A.G.L.A.Sandbox
A.G.L.A.Foundry
Neutral Host Courts:
A.G.L.A.Hostbox (Sandbox, 9 Players)
A.G.L.A.Neutral (Foundry, 9 Players)
Grifball Live (Foundry, SNGB 10 Players)
Foundry Team Home Court:
AGLA-##########
These are to be used in every game this season, based on the game involved. The Amateur League has a full choice of courts, and may choose to play neutral host, SNGB, or neither at their own discretion. The Pro League is required to use the Neutral Host variants and maps, and cannot use a home court map (as it's not set up for neutral host).
As it's pretty last minute, I'll allow a bit of a buffer period. For the next few days I won't raise a stink over using last season's maps and gametypes, but come Wednesday night I'll expect you all to be using the new stuff.

OGBL Break Up
Game Over
Once again we close another season without a successful finals series. In fact this season was worse than the last, because we're not even having a final.
As many of you are already aware, I'm leaving this league in the full leadership of Hybrass, in future OGBL related questions should be directed towards him as I'm taking an extended break from the game.
So Congratulations to ladder leaders Ghosts of Onyx AU, it wasn't the best way for either of us to leave this league (our performances weren't the best), but a win is a win, right? At least you went out on a match not a forfeit.
From me personally, I'd like to thank the following people who I've worked with:
Jack, MooCow, LBCountry, Gingerlink, Jimmmy, Tick and Carkito (Although the last two I haven't worked with very long).
Thanks for the good times.
And Thanks to Burnie and the RT Crew for making the Sport of the Future a present day reality.
See you all on DoubleEXP weekends, I'll be around during them!
Maj Scav3nger, for the last time, over and out!

I'll also take this time to introduce myself. My name is Melvin, and I am one of the new Ammy Admins. Any questions or comments you have can be directed to my Rooster Teeth or XBL account. The season starts Monday, so make sure you have your team ready to go by then.
Also, if anyone is curious as to how a randy like myself ended up as Ammy Admin, here is the application that got me the job.
Peace out.

Pro Divisions and Amateur Admins
The Pro League divisions have now been set, and the schedule will go up late tonight.
I'd also like to officially announce our two new Amateur Admins. Shadow S16, long time Pro Rules guy, will be one of them (and will be working on both Amateur and Pro things), and the other will be Melvination, a relative newcomer, but the applicant with the most impressive application. I realize he's a teammate of mine, and thus it looks biased, but if you'd like I can ask him to publically post his application. It's very impressive.
Anyway, on to the Pro divisions. Ammy divisions will be done soon.

Stall your engines
Sorry guys, i know I promised to start the UK league on Monday, the 14th, but I've decided to push the league start back a week. The reason why is because some teams are unsure if they will be with us this season, so I'm giving them a week to get their squads in order.
Another reason for the rescheduling is that I have decided against splitting the 10 teams we have across 3 divisions, and I now have the time to edit the league. The new plan is we are going to have 2 divisions of 5, with the top 2 teams from each division going through to the play-offs.
Again, I apologize for delaying the league, but I believe that it is the best idea.
